Tonight the Heklotz Music Library will be showing a very special screening of Giuseppe Verdi's Macbeth. Recorded live from theZürich Opera House, this "hard-edged, postmodern production of Giuseppe Verid's haunting masterpiece brings the story of Shakespeare's bloody tragedy to vivid life..." (Back of Movie Box). Starring American baritone Thomas Hampson, with conducting by Franz Welser- Møst.

The Herklotz Music Library is a branch library serving Oxy students, faculty, and staff. It houses over 6000 scores and music reference materials, as well as 7000 sound recordings, and around 300 music-related video recordings. In addition, the Music Library has a reserve collection supporting music courses and any others that deal with music. Reference and research assistance are available from the Assistant Instruction Librarian / Music Subject Specialist, Annette Young, or at the Music Library Circulation desk.
The Music Library is home to several special collections, including a large portion of the Nelson Eddy Collection, as well as recordings of the Music Department's recitals and concerts.
