Hello everyone, some of you may know this already, but this year's Occidental College Student Music Council consists of violinist Alyson Melzer ('11) and myself. Last semester we organized the trip to the Hollywood Bowl to see John Williams over Labor Day weekend and a screening of the Red Violin with Professor Meyer's help, but we would love to have a few more special events this semester. With such an eclectic and involved group of students in the Music Department, we've got to be able to come up with some great ideas to enjoy in the midst of our studies.
